Half Shell Oyster House Madison: A Seafood Lover's Retreat

We have passed by many evenings and it’s always packed and a long wait(a good sign). My husband and I happened to both be off today and got to have lunch! We were greeted immediately by a super polite and nice young lady. Our server was exceptional! He kept our drinks filled and the food was brought out promptly. We both had the pasta lunch portions.( blackened chicken Alfredo and he had the seafood pasta) We both had the sweet potato creme brulee as our side. All of it was delicious! The establishment was clean and service was great. We will definitely visit again!

An excellent seafood restaurant! It’s very good! I had lunch here three times and dinner and loved it every time! Great staff and service. Bartender helped me find a great menu item the first day. Have had two different fish lunches and both rocked! The red fish Orleans style and grilled mahi were excellent! I loved the asparagus with extra cheesy butter sauce on top. Wow! The bar bourbon selection is great too if you like bourbons. The mahi savannah style is so creamy and delicious! See pics. Also, be sure!! You get the royal reds. Boiled Shrimp in Orleans sauce. They are a delight.

They were very courteous, the quesodillas and that sauce was great.The fried okra, broccoli was great. Lemon

Went here tonight with my boyfriend for a nice dinner date. Of course we had a small wait for a Saturday night but our server Will was amazing. Super humble and knowledgeable and tended to our every need and made sure to communicate with us and get us exactly what we needed. He even recommended a new favorite for me and my boyfriend. We had a great time and he made our visit super enjoyable. Best service I’ve had at this location. I’m a bartender myself so it’s always refreshing to have great service from a well rounded server. Definitely will be back and we will be asking for Will!

My husband and I heard our friends raving about this Restaurant, so we had to try it! We had The Smoked Yellowfin Tuna Dip and The Charbroiled Oysters, They were amazing! Then we had a dozen Oysters Orleans, I forgot to take a photo and they were absolutely, freaking delicious! I can't wait to come back! A new favorite for us!

Had a great experience here. I always order the same thing and it has never failed me. I order the chargrilled Orleans oysters. This time I also ordered a blackberry margarita. Our waiter Bryce was very helpful and attentive. Great experience! I live out of state and these are the best chargrilled oysters I have had anywhere so I have to come whenever I’m in town.

I stopped in for dinner last night and had an amazing experience. Luke was very warm and friendly, Malique had the best recommendations for oysters ( Orleans), last but not least, Kevin did a great job providing detailed insight about the drink menu and had great customer service. This place is the place to be .

Drinks were tasty. Boudin balls were awesome! I had the seafood stuffed portobellos- YUM. Obv the fried shrimp was great and the Cajun mashed potatoes were good. The white chocolate cheese cake was the best I’ve ever had. The raspberry drizzle and foam were amazing!
